  • Where can I find information about your term dates and Inset Days?

    The latest information regarding term dates and Inset Days can be found on our Term Dates webpage in the News & Diary section. We often communicate key dates such as INSET days via email and/or letters home as well.

  • When is your Open Evening?

    Our Open Evening date for 2017 will be announced here once arranged. In the meantime, if you would like to visit The Burgess Hill Academy, please contact the PA to the Principal, Tel 01444 251689 to arrange a visit.

  • Can I arrange an individual visit to the Academy?

    We are always happy to organise a tour of the Academy. Appointments can be booked by telephoning Elaine Setterfield, Head’s PA, on 01444 251689 or by emailing office@theburgesshillacademy.org.uk.

  • How do I apply for a place at The Burgess Hill Academy?

    Admissions are dealt with directly by the Local Education Authority (West Sussex County Council). We have provided some information about this process on our Admissions page, however, all enquiries should be directed to the West Sussex County Council Pupil Admissions Office. Call 0845 075 1007 or email admissions.north@westsussex.gov.uk.

  • I am moving to Burgess Hill and would like to apply for a place in Year 7 - 11. How can I do this?

    For admission enquiries and applications for school places outside the primary school transfer process, please see our Admissions page were we have provided some information about this process.

  • What does the uniform consist of?

    There is a full, up-to-date list of our school uniform on our Uniform page in the Parents section of the website.

  • What extra-curricular activities can my son/daughter take part in?

    We run a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and activities which take place during lunch times and after school. Please see our Extra Curricular page in the Students section of the website for full details.

  • How can I find information about your support for children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities?

    We believe all students should have access to a broad and balanced curriculum. We support and adhere to West Sussex policies on educational inclusion and make appropriate provision for all students who require Learning Support and those with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities.
